4-6 LITRES – that’s how much water I drink in a day?. When I travel I tend to get more headaches. For me, this is directly related to how much water I drink.

Drinking water is essential!
1. It keeps your body hydrated
2. Minimizes fatigue
3. Aids in digestion and removing toxins
4. Improves performance and minimizes muscle cramping
5. Makes your skin glow
6. Staying hydrated can serve as an appetite suppressant for those times when you think you’re hungry.
Water plays a vital role in almost every bodily function! Most people donβt drink enough water and instead substitute with coffee, tea, soda and energy drinks. These are NOT substitutes for water. Both Coffee and tea can act as diuretics which really just lead us to needing more water. Soda and diet soda are full of so many chemicals, heaps of sugar and unpronounceable ingredients. Just because it’s low in calories doesn’t mean its good for you. Think about where that flavor is coming from when it has 0 calories?
Since I have started drinking more water my once debilitating migraines have disappeared, my skin is clearer, I have more energy and even my training feels better.
Have a hard time drinking water? Try infusing your water with lemon, lime, mint, cucumber, pineapple or other fruit.
I am not saying that everyone should be drinking as much as me. You need to drink based on your activity level and training. But water is important for everyone! I never ever force myself to chug water. I sip it throughout the day. I drink at least 2 liters before during and after my workouts.
